Every scene has the story: the band plays the show, loads out, sleeps, and wakes up to an empty parking space where the trailer was. Gear theft from vans and trailers is the most notorious loss in live music, and it's precisely what most insurance quietly excludes through off-premises limits and business-use clauses.
Ramble covers theft from vehicles and trailers explicitly, along with theft from venues, storage lockups, and rehearsal spaces, worldwide. And if a covered loss guts the backline mid-run, rental reimbursement covers rented replacement gear at up to $2,500 a day (up to $25,000 per occurrence) with no deductible on the reimbursement, so the weekend's shows still happen.
Band gear ownership is always a little tangled, since the PA belongs to the band fund, the amps belong to individuals, and nobody remembers who bought the cables. The clean structure is simple: gear the band owns collectively lives on one policy under the band, and each member covers their own instruments and rigs on their own policy in minutes. Either way every piece sits in an itemized collection at its declared value.
The moment the band gets paid, homeowners and renters policies can treat the gear as business property and step away from the claim, and the gear is off-premises at every show anyway. A working band fails both tests every weekend. Ramble covers professional use outright and follows the gear wherever the booking is.
Photograph the gear at rehearsal, or hand over the stage plot and input list, and Ramble's chat uploader identifies everything and builds the valued collection. Apply straight from it with an immediate quote and approval in one business day or less. If nobody in the band wants the job, our concierge team will catalog it all for you, which is more than can be said for load-in. And when the band picks up a new head or a used sub between updates, newly acquired gear is automatically covered up to $25,000 for 30 days from purchase.

Ramble protects against theft, loss, accidental breakage, vandalism, fire, flood, earthquakes, and more.
