01 WHAT IT IS
One policy for everything that makes music.
Music gear insurance is specialty coverage (technically, commercial inland marine insurance) built for property that moves. Guitars, synths, violins, drum kits, DJ rigs, mic lockers, and the computers that run your sessions can all live on a single Ramble policy, each insured at the value you declare.
Coverage is worldwide and all-risk: theft, accidental breakage, fire, water and flood damage, vandalism, damage in transit, and even mysterious disappearance are covered, subject to policy terms.
Supplemental coverages come standard too. If a covered loss puts an instrument in the shop, rental reimbursement covers a substitute at up to $2,500 a day (up to $25,000) with no deductible on the reimbursement, and newly acquired gear is automatically covered up to $25,000 for 30 days, before you've even added it to your collection.
Policies start at $175 a year with a $100 minimum deductible per claim, not per item.
02 HOW IT WORKS
Chat your gear, get a quote in minutes.
There's no itemized application form. Send Ramble's chat uploader photos, a spreadsheet, a plain-text list, or just talk to it with voice-to-text, and it identifies your gear, researches the details and values, and builds your itemized collection for you.
From there, applying takes a few quick questions: pick what to cover, confirm your details, choose a deductible, and your quote appears immediately. The whole application happens in one sitting, in any of the 50 states, with approval in one business day or less.
And if you'd rather not lift a finger, our concierge team will happily catalog everything for you.
03 WHO'S BEHIND IT
Veteran underwriting on modern rails.
Ramble's program is administered by Bolton Street Programs, the specialty program manager behind some of the longest-running musical instrument insurance programs in the country, with capacity supported by the Accelerant Risk Exchange.
Claims are handled by Raphael & Associates, a specialty claims team, with payment by check online as fast as 24 to 48 hours after approval.
