Here's the trap: the moment your recording rig earns money (a mixing fee, a session rate, a beat sale), homeowners and renters policies can treat it as business property and decline the claim. Recording gear is professional gear by definition, which makes it exactly what those policies exclude.
Ramble covers professional use outright, so nothing about paid sessions, client work, or commercial releases changes your coverage.
Ramble insures the full signal chain: microphones, preamps and outboard, consoles, monitors, and, importantly, computer hardware and software. The laptop or desktop running your DAW is insurable gear on the same policy as the mic locker, which matters because in a modern studio the computer is the studio.
A microphone dropped mid-session and shattered is a textbook covered claim. Most studio losses are undramatic: a stand tips, a monitor falls off the meter bridge, a water leak finds the patch bay overnight. All-risk coverage with a $100 minimum deductible per claim means those ordinary disasters get paid, not absorbed.
Photograph the room, list what's in it, or drop in a spreadsheet, and Ramble's chat uploader builds an itemized, valued collection of everything; apply straight from it and the quote is immediate. As the studio evolves, the collection evolves with it: when a new preamp comes in or an old interface sells, update the collection and you're only ever charged or refunded the difference. If cataloging a whole mic locker and outboard rack is the thing you keep putting off, our concierge team will do it for you.

Ramble protects against theft, loss, accidental breakage, vandalism, fire, flood, earthquakes, and more.
Your equipment is automatically covered anywhere in the world—at home, in the studio, on the road, as checked airline baggage, or when being shipped.

For illustration only. Amounts above are estimates based on Instruments & Equipment coverage at your selected deductible. Deductible is per claim, not per instrument. Policies start at $175/year; your actual premium and coverage depend on your gear, deductible, and application review.
