What happens when I add or sell modules mid-policy?

Edit your collection and resubmit; it takes a minute. Additions are charged pro-rata and removals are refunded pro-rata, so you only ever pay for what you actually own.

What does Ramble insurance cover?

Ramble provides worldwide, all-risk coverage for musical instruments and related equipment. You're protected against theft, accidental breakage, fire, lightning, water or flood damage, vandalism, damage caused by vehicles, and even mysterious disappearance, subject to policy terms.

How much does Ramble insurance cost?

Policies start at $175 a year. Above that, the premium scales with your collection's total insured value, the deductible you pick, and the mix of gear, since instruments, computer equipment, and general business property are each rated differently. You'll see your exact number during the application, before you pay anything.

What is the deductible?

The policy has a low $100 minimum deductible per claim (not per item). Flood and Earth Movement have a separate deductible equal to 5% of the item value.

How do I get a quote, and how long does it take?

First you catalog your gear, by uploading photos, typing or talking through what you own, or dropping in a spreadsheet. Then you start an application, pick the items you want covered, and answer a short form. Your quote appears immediately, and you can pay right there. Most applications are approved in one business day or less.

Modular and Eurorack insurance covers your whole system, module by module, against theft and damage worldwide, and at Ramble it starts at $175 a year. Each module is tracked in your collection, and when you add or sell modules, you're charged or refunded only the pro-rated difference.

Try describing a modular system to a homeowners agent: two hundred line items, most from builders of one, half discontinued, values that only make sense to people who know what a rare filter goes for on the used market.
