01 Price
What moves the price above $175
The value of the gear you cover
The premium follows the total value of the items on your policy. You choose the items, so you can cover only the gear that leaves the house.
The kind of gear
Computer hardware and software, and general business property, cost less to cover than instruments and music equipment of the same value.
Your deductible
You can pick $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or $2,500 per claim. A higher deductible lowers the premium, by 5% at $250 up to 25% at $2,500, but never below the $175 minimum.
The fee and your state
A $10 platform fee is added to every renewal, and to new policies except in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Nevada. Florida, Kentucky and New Jersey add a state premium tax. Your application shows the full total before you pay.

FAQ
Common questions
Policies start at $175 a year. Above that, the premium scales with your collection's total insured value, the deductible you pick, and the mix of gear, since instruments, computer equipment, and general business property are each rated differently. You'll see your exact number during the application, before you pay anything.
You can choose $100, $250, $500, $1,000, or $2,500, and it applies per claim rather than per instrument. A higher deductible lowers your premium, from roughly 5% at $250 up to 25% at $2,500. If your collection prices out at the $175 minimum, the deductible won't change what you pay, because the premium is already at the floor.
Yes. You pick exactly which items go on the policy, so you can cover the three instruments that actually leave the house and leave the rest off. Add or remove items later and we'll only charge or refund the difference. The $175 annual minimum applies no matter how small the selection is.
First you catalog your gear, by uploading photos, typing or talking through what you own, or dropping in a spreadsheet. Then you start an application, pick the items you want covered, and answer a short form. Your quote appears immediately, and you can pay right there. Most applications are approved in one business day or less.
Hopefully it just became even more collectible! If you need to update the value of an insured item at any point, simply edit that piece of gear on your collection page and resubmit an application—whether for just that item or your entire collection. Our system will detect the change and only charge (or refund) the difference in premium. Easy as that.
